Every pregnancy we have found out the sex, this being our last was no exception… I am too impateint to wait a whole 10 months. You mammas who wait.. you are awesome. I would go mad! This time around though I wanted to do every little fun thing I have wanted to do each pregnancy and either never got around to or wasnt able to do. Gender reveal was one of those things… so this is what we did

Its a BOY! Now we have two lovey dovey princesses and two little men Cant wait to meet our new little prince.

I get overwhelmed… like ALL the time. Esp with the kids. When it comes to the calm one in our family its the boys, Hubby and B…ten fold Hubby is calmer than me. Im learning but a lot of times I forget how incredibly blessed I am with these babies. Between the tantrums, talking back (thank you fallen world for that one) and desperately trying to function on mommy sleep (that means interupted at least 3 times a night) I forget how happy I actually am. I forget that the laundry, dishes, and dirty floors dont matter… That its ok if I dont have time to take a shower every day and if my house is a disaster most of the time. Which really, it isnt. Im just a bit nuerotic.

Yesterday, I took Olivia and Lilli to drop Lilli off at school. Preschool. Like every week we hugged and kissed and she ran inside happily. As we were leaving I saw that the Kindergartners were going on a fieldtrip. That a few of the moms, and even a couple dads were there to go along with.. I started tearing up realizing what I have known for the past 4.5 years but often forget… I will get a chance to be that mom. The mom that doesnt have to miss the craft day, the Valentines party, the field trips, the plays or recitals… I wont have to schedule my kids around my job. THEY are my job. I couldnt have asked for a better gift from my Hubby. The greatest part is that he is my biggest cheerleader and supporter. He understands, and sometimes helps me remember when I get stressed about money, how important my job is… the job of Mommy. No one else can be their mommy. Only me. What a gift.

While in SB I took B to his Pediatrician… ya ya I know we dont live there anymore and its crazy that I still use his Ped from there but you dont understand… Shes AMAZING. No really though. She prays with us, she lets us make our own choices without fighting us as long as she knows we are well informed, she is GOOD at her job. I just cant let her go….

aaaaanyways..

Took him in (a couple months late) for his 12 month check up. His weight isnt really where it should be, he isnt gaining like he was. So to be on the safe side she did a little finger prick blood test. He didnt mind a bit until it was bandaid time. THose annoying things! His result came back slightly anemic so she sent me to Cottage hospital to have a panel of blood drawn so she could make sure it wasnt anything to serious.

Talk about a nervous wreck mom.

They taped these warming packs to the inside of his little chubby arms to get the blood warm so it would flow faster. Then asked me to hold him still while they poked. Man oh man was he a trooper. No tears at all in the beginning and then only about a 3-5 second wimper. I think he was crying for me. I was more distraught then he was.

The whole time I kept thinking- Thank you Jesus for letting us be in SB with our family and the dr we love while doing this.

We took a trip back “home”… funny how we have lived in Vegas longer then we lived in SB yet SB still feels like home to us…

It was amazing to drive in and see the water, all the kids were mesmerized… It was a bit of a cray trip but we got to spend some time at the beach which made the whole trip worth it

Whats home?? We have been struggling with this question for a few years now. Trying to figure out where it is that God wants us to put down our roots. We feel so at home in SB yet we have made some incredible friends, connections, and memories here in Vegas. Trying to put aside what we want for what we can do for His kingdom.

Needed to revamp a bit and rethink where this blog was going… what it was here for.

After some thought, prayer and advice I think that it needs to go back to the root of why I started it A good place for my thoughts, a good place to release some stress and to help any other girls, women, mamas etc that are going through the same stages of life as we are here in the White house. Ha. The “White House” Thats funny

So to kick off my back to blogging blog I thought I would share with you a BUNCH of stats-

1. We are preggers again!!! I am 13 weeks today and feeling dog gone tired but so excited! Its numero quatro and Lilli is beyond thrilled.

2. A group of girlfriends and I have started a CRAZY journey to rid our lives of excess and fill it with Jesus called the 7 experiment and you can follow our journey at 7experiment.blogspot.com

3. Hubby is starting another business endervor (woot woot)

4. Lilli started at a new school and is loving it

5. Olivia is growing and flourishing into one of the most sensitive loving little girls

6. B is 14 months and HYSTERICAL. Ask him to roar for you sometime :0)

Im so thankful for my girls. That they are sisters. God gave them to eachother… best friends forever. As much as they can fight the sweetness and love they have for eachother is amazing to watch.  I told you all a while back that we were teeter tottering about “baby maybe”… and then the miscarriage. That hurt my heart. A lot. It still hurts and Im ok with that. I dont ever want to forget either of the little souls that are a part of our family. All of that brings me to this… Im pretty sure that I want another baby. Pretty sure that there is one more little love waiting to meet us. We will see. I always said that if we miscarried ever again I didnt even want to go there again… the pregnancy thing. The chance of going through it AGAIN. But then I think about it. I think how God sacrificed His beloved son for me… that really this isnt my home and that Im not here for that long… that the biggest and most honorable gift He could give is allowing a woman to care for His children and allowing her to be their mother. Its an honor… sometimes I forget in the midst of temper tantrums and sibling fighting. He uses our babies to shape us, sanctify us… its amazing. Plus to be honest… B needs a brother… I cant imagine not having one more… to think that I wouldnt have one more little love just doesnt seem right. So. we will see.
